The virtue of Tawheed in the light of Qur'an and Sunnah

The Importance and Virtue of Tawheed in the Light of the Qur'an and Sunnah This is an important contemporary question. Seeing this wonderful system of moving the heavens and the earth, the intellect asks the question, is there any being who can make the sunrise and set, change the seasons, and make the sky stand without pillars?
So the answer to this question is that the one who does everything is Allah alone. Which has always been and always will be. Who is selfless and possesses all kinds of powers.
When a person confesses the exalted attributes of Allah, he utters a word with his tongue. That word is "Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ " This is called monotheism. The Importance and Virtue of Tawheed are such that once a person utters this word sincerely with his tongue, the angels write down innumerable good deeds in his book of deeds.
Below we will present the Importance and Virtue of Tawheed in the light of the Qur'an and authentic hadiths:

(1) The best branch of faith:

Tawheed is the best branch of faith. Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Ų§Ł„ْŲ„ِŁŠŁ…َŲ§Ł†ُ ŲØِŲ¶ْŲ¹ٌ ŁˆَŲ³َŲØْŲ¹ُŁˆŁ†َ: Ų£َŁْŲ¶َŁ„ُŁ‡َŲ§ Ł‚َŁˆْŁ„ُ Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ There are 70 branches of faith. The best of these is to say, " Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ"۔ (Sunan Abi Dawood and its chain of transmission is correct. Hadith No. 4676)
Faith means that a person should confess the oneness of God with his tongue, confirm it with his heart, and fulfill the requirements of this word through his deeds. A person who meets these three conditions attains the highest level of faith.

(2) The best Remembrance of Allah:

So the importance and virtue of Tawheed is such that Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has declared this word as the best remembrance.
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) saying: Ų£َŁْŲ¶َŁ„ُ Ų§Ł„Ų°ِّŁƒْŲ±ِ Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ The best remembrance is to say, " Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ" (Sunan al-Tirmidhi and its chain of transmission is Hassan. Hadith no. 3383)

(3) A case of charity:

Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: ŁƒُŁ„ُّ ŲŖَŁ‡ْŁ„ِŁŠŁ„َŲ©ٍ ŲµَŲÆَŁ‚َŲ©ٌ۔ Saying " Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ" is charity. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 720) That is, whoever recites " Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ ", Allah rewards him for giving charity.

(4) Deliverance from suffering:

So the importance and virtue of Tawheed is such that it has an important place in Islam. Whoever recites this word and accepts it wholeheartedly and fulfills its requirements, Allah will save him from the troubles of this world and the Hereafter.
Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Ł…Ł† Ł‚Ų§Ł„: Ł„Ų§ Ų„Ł„Ł‡ Ų„Ł„Ų§ Ų§Ł„Ł„Ł‡ Ł†ŁŲ¹ŲŖŁ‡ ŁŠŁˆŁ…Ų§ Ł…Ł† ŲÆŁ‡Ų±Ł‡ ŁŠŲµŁŠŲØŁ‡ Ł‚ŲØŁ„ Ų°Ł„Łƒ Ł…Ų§ Ų£ŲµŲ§ŲØŁ‡ Whoever confesses “Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ” (sincerity of heart), this word will one day benefit him (in avoiding misery) before what has already happened. (Sahih Al-Jami ', Hadith No. 6434)
One of the meanings of this hadith is that we mean worldly life by "ŲÆŁ‡Ų±". That is the person who will confess this word on that day. He will not have any trouble after that day. What came before he was his destiny. However, he will not have any trouble later.
The second meaning is that we take “ŲÆŁ‡Ų±” to mean the afterlife, that is, when a person is being punished for his sins, then with the blessing of this monotheism, Allah will take him out of Hell and admit him to Paradise.
Whatever meaning we take of this hadith, it is excellent in terms of virtue and reward, which proves the importance and virtue of Tawheed.

(5) Deliverance from the Horrors of Resurrection:

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told me that Allah will tell me: ŁŠَŲ§ Ł…ُŲَŁ…َّŲÆُ Ų£َŲÆْŲ®ِŁ„ْ Ł…ِŁ†ْ Ų£ُŁ…َّŲŖِŁƒَ Ł…ِŁ†ْ Ų®َŁ„ْŁ‚ِ Ų§Ł„Ł„Ł‡ِ، Ł…َŁ†ْ Ų“َŁ‡ِŲÆَ Ų£َŁ†َّŁ‡ُ Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„Ł‡ُ ŁŠَŁˆْŁ…ًŲ§ ŁˆَŲ§ŲِŲÆًŲ§ Ł…ُŲ®ْŁ„ِŲµًŲ§،ŁˆَŁ…َŲ§ŲŖَ Ų¹َŁ„َŁ‰ Ų°َŁ„ِŁƒَ ۔ O Muhammad! Admit (to Paradise) every one of your ummah among the creatures of Allah who has sincerely said  Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„Ł‡ُ" even one day. And his death may have come on the same testimony. (Musnad Ahmad and its chain of transmission is correct. Hadith number: 12824)

(6) The heavenly gates open:

Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: «Ł…َŲ§ Ł‚َŲ§Ł„َ Ų¹َŲØْŲÆٌ Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ Ł‚َŲ·ُّ Ł…ُŲ®ْŁ„ِŲµًŲ§، Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ ŁُŲŖِŲَŲŖْ Ł„َŁ‡ُ Ų£َŲØْŁˆَŲ§ŲØُ Ų§Ł„Ų³َّŁ…َŲ§Ų”ِ، ŲَŲŖَّŁ‰ ŲŖُŁْŲ¶ِŁŠَ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‰ Ų§Ł„Ų¹َŲ±ْŲ“ِ، Ł…َŲ§ Ų§Ų¬ْŲŖَŁ†َŲØَ Ų§Ł„ŁƒَŲØَŲ§Ų¦ِŲ±َ» Whenever a a person who avoids major sins sincerely recites "La ilaha illa Allah", the gates of heaven are opened for him until he reaches the Throne. (Sunan Tirmizi and the chain of its transmission are Hassan. Hadith No. 3590)

(7) Obtaining the intercession of the Prophet (PBUH):

Whoever sincerely confesses Tawheed and fulfills its requirements, on the Day of Resurrection, such a person will receive the intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: َŲ³ْŲ¹َŲÆُ Ų§Ł„Ł†َّŲ§Ų³ِ ŲØِŲ“َŁَŲ§Ų¹َŲŖِŁŠ ŁŠَŁˆْŁ…َ Ų§Ł„Ł‚ِŁŠَŲ§Ł…َŲ©ِ، Ł…َŁ†ْ Ł‚َŲ§Ł„َ Ł„Ų§َ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ، Ų®َŲ§Ł„ِŲµًŲ§ Ł…ِŁ†ْ Ł‚َŁ„ْŲØِŁ‡ِ، Ų£َŁˆْ Ł†َŁْŲ³ِŁ‡ The happiest person who will receive my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who has sincerely said: " Ł„Ų§َ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ" (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 99).
Reading with sincerity means that one should fulfill the requirements of this word and not have any doubts about it.

(8) Deliverance from the fire of Hell:

Whoever confesses Tawheed and fulfills its requirements, Allah will forbid the fire of Hell on such a person.
Ubadah ibn Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) saying: «Ł…َŁ†ْ Ų“َŁ‡ِŲÆَ Ų£َŁ†ْ Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„Ł‡ُ، ŁˆَŲ£َŁ†َّ Ł…ُŲَŁ…َّŲÆًŲ§ Ų±َŲ³ُŁˆŁ„ُ Ų§Ł„Ł„Ł‡ِ، ŲَŲ±َّŁ…َ Ų§Ł„Ł„Ł‡ُ Ų¹َŁ„َŁŠْŁ‡ِ Ų§Ł„Ł†َّŲ§Ų±َ» Whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the last Messenger of Allah, Allah has forbidden fire on such a person. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 29)

(9) The cause of the obligation of heaven:

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: «Ų„ِŁ†َّŁ‡ُ Ł…َŁ†ْ Ų“َŁ‡ِŲÆَ Ų£َŁ†ْ Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ ŲَŲ±َّŁ…َŁ‡ُ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ Ų¹َŁ„َŁ‰ Ų§Ł„Ł†َّŲ§Ų±ِ، ŁˆَŲ£َŁˆْŲ¬َŲØَ Ł„َŁ‡ُ Ų§Ł„ْŲ¬َŁ†َّŲ©َ»  The one who testifies that there is no god but Allah. We forbid fire on such a person and make Paradise obligatory on him. (Sahih Ibn Habban, Hadith No. 199)
(10) Success in both worlds:
The person who confesses the word then Tawheed.  Confirms it and fulfills its requirements. Allah gives such a person success in both worlds. As is clear from the following hadith.
Tariq ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: «ŁŠَŲ§ Ų£َŁŠُّŁ‡َŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł†َّŲ§Ų³ُ Ł‚ُŁˆŁ„ُŁˆŲ§ Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ ŲŖُŁْŁ„ِŲُŁˆŲ§» O people! Acknowledge that Ł„َŲ§ Ų„ِŁ„َŁ‡َ Ų„ِŁ„َّŲ§ Ų§Ł„Ł„َّŁ‡ُ, and you will succeed. (Sahih Ibn Habban, Hadith No. 6562)
Tawheed has great importance and virtue. But these virtues and benefits are only for the person who confesses, affirms, and most importantly fulfills the requirements of this word. May Allah grant us the ability to act. Amen!
